Fiji 7s captain Seremaia ‘Jerry’ Vunisa Tuwai is heavy-hearted heading into the Olympic Games in Japan.
An air of melancholy surrounds the 32-year-old nippy best 7s player in the world, who will be among the smallest players in the Tokyo games.
He will carry Fiji’s hope of setting another Olympics record in trying to be the first nation to win the gold medal back to back.
Next week, the boy who was born to Poasa Vunisa and Seruwaia Vualiku in 1989 in Newtown, a settlement in Nasinu, will lead his country against the world.
